Alexander Krauskopf
Alexander Krauskopf joined the Milliman office in Duesseldorf in June 2019 as Senior Manager and team leader for health insurance.
His consulting activities include, among others:

- Finance and insurance mathematics
- Premium calculation
As part of a client project, Alexander developed a fully integrated local GAAP (HGB) and Solvency II model for the purpose of determining risk capital requirements.
Alexander took over the function of the independent trustee for a private health insurance company in Germany.
Experience
Alexander has more than 20 years of professional experience in the insurance industry.
Prior to joining Milliman he worked as a mathematician in the department of actuarial services in the field of “actuarial modelling, accounting and valuation” at Central Krankenversicherung AG in Cologne (part of Generali Group in Germany). During this time, he was responsible for the following:
- IFRS 17 project in the field of accounting and modelling
- Collaboration regarding the conception and development of an internal model within the scope of a Solvency-II project
- Development of a simulation model for the medium- and long-term planning, especially forecasts of the premium adjustments and the development of provisions for premium refunds
- Collaboration regarding the development and introduction of new products
- Performance of profitability calculations for new products
- Determination of interests within the scope of the post calculation
- Determination of insurance technical balance sheet items in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS 17 (Phase I)
- Lecturer for the specialist knowledge in health insurance within the actuarial education at the German Actuarial Academy (DAA)
- Lecturer within the actuarial education to become a “Certified Insurance Risk Manager Solvency II – Health Insurance” for the German Actuarial Association (DAV)
- Collaboration in the working group “demographics” of the DAV with a focus on the forecast of the future premium development for both, the private and statutory health insurance, in view of the demographic change and publication of the findings in the paper "Der Aktuar“ (edition 02.2018)
- Publication of the article "Prognoseverfahren für die zukünftigen Leistungstrends in der PKV,“ in "Der Aktuar“ (edition 04.2016)
