Jaroslaw Lech
Jaroslaw Lech is a principal and consulting actuary based in Milliman's Warsaw office.
Experience
Since joining Milliman in 2015, Jaroslaw has worked on a wide range of assignments for Polish, Italian, and Central Eastern European insurers.
Jaroslaw has managed several MTPL rating projects across the CEE region involving both multivariate and machine learning techniques. He regularly carries out non-life pricing reviews for statutory approval purposes.
Jaroslaw has held the lead role in many statutory and Solvency II reserve reviews and has participated in a number of merger and acquisition projects involving life and non-life company valuations. He has also supported companies launching market entry with market analyses and regulatory filings.
In the area of Solvency II, Jaroslaw was involved in underwriting and Nat-Cat risk internal model support, as well as reviews of market value balance sheets and risk capital modeling frameworks.
Before joining Milliman, Jaroslaw worked in Allianz Poland, where he has held Chief Actuary and CRO positions and was responsible for Embedded Value calculations for the live company, non-life reserving, and local implementation of the group internal model.
Jaroslaw has coauthored a number of publications on Solvency II, machine learning in insurance, and MTPL markets.
